Geometry Dash is a game that i have regrettably been participating in since 2015, ever since (i think) discovering Geometry Dash Lite on my own, followed by noticing people playing the paid version on the bus and eventually getting it myself. i only started playing in 2.0 but i've always preferred levels from prior to 2.0. more recently i've allowed myself to indulge in some 2.0 and early 2.1 levels but new levels were something i avoided for a long time because i feel i could not keep up with the skill curve that was the geometry dash rating system.

i also think robtop would be able to release updates way faster if he didn't decide that he was the only person who could ever rate levels. idk if that's changed as of 2026 but it's like, dude... come on, you take 6 years to release 2.2 and now it's been like 2 years since 2.2 and we're still waiting on 2.21

idk. i've always had an ego about this kinda shit cuz i get that robtop has to like, ensure online content is kid friendly and everything (maybe i didn't get that when i was younger) but it's kinda funny that as far as i'm aware, not even like viprin (or whoever is at the top of the popularity chain in geometry dash these days) can rate levels. it's a really weird decision.
